Thanks for dropping in at my website. I'm David, the guy in the picture, and the author of Cold Tuscan Stone, which you can read about on the next page. I've also created a page about the protagonist of my book, Rick Montoya, as well as some others about Italy.
You may want to know something about me. Well, since the book takes place in Italy, you probably assume that I've spent some time there, and you're correct. During my career in the foreign service I was assigned there three times, for a total of nine years. When not in Italy I lived in South America (Brazil, Ecuador and Uruguay) as well as the ultimate hardship post, Washington, DC. When we retired, my wife and I moved to New Mexico, where I started a little tourism service called Italia Roadrunners. I work with people who have rented villas in Tuscany, preparing self-guided day trips for them. (You can read more about it on a separate page.) From that I started to try my hand at writing novels, specifically mysteries, of which I am a big fan. The result was the creation of Rick Montoya and eventually Cold Tuscan Stone.
The photo, by the way, was taken on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing when we celebrated 50 years of the sport of lacrosse at MSU. I am a proud member of that original lacrosse club.
